Farah Newmarch

Farah is a thought leader and influencer, specializing in complex operational, technological and regulatory change.   She is a founding member of Rainmakers, providing leadership and advisory at the strategic forefront of finance transformation.

Recently, Farah led a consortium of financial institutions, working in concert with the Bank of Canada (BoC), the Investment Industry Association (IIAC), and the Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation (CDCC) to establish Canada’s first Central Counterparty (CCP) for trading Repo fixed-income securities.  She has been a delivery and innovation partner for a number of banking initiatives, establishing cross-border capital markets solutions across Canada, US and UK; and integrating platforms and processes in retail, wealth and investment lines of business.

Farah holds an MBA from Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).  She is an Agile practitioner who regularly engages in Fintech and Regtech forums in Canada/UK, including the Fintech programme with Oxford University’s SAID Business School.

She volunteers as a mentor with both the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Rise Asset Development.
